Dave learnt to fly courtesy of Her Majesty in RAF voluntary reserve whilst a student at university in the UK. Won a Government/Oil Industry scholarship to CPL Helicopters, and worked for the Worlds biggest Helicopter operator on Oil support, in the North Sea, Borneo, Dubai, and for MOD in Falklands. Seconded to the Wildlife Department in Kenya, and Greenpeace Marine Division flying off ships in Antarctic, Arctic, Tasman and Pacific arenas. New Zealand’s only qualified Commercial Airship Pilot. Dave specialises in Instrument Flight Check and Training, and is designated CAA examiner for several of New Zealand’s Rescue Helicopter Trusts. Logged total 8,500 flight hours | | |
